There is nothing permanent but change. Which drives me nuts. In 81 years I have had to relearn so many things because they keep making changes and now you have computers that require new software every three years to be able to use something you have used for 20 years. Oh, and the glass thing has been around since 2006 but first read about it in the 1950's in a science fiction book.

I'm not too stoked about a glass dashboard though...

It will not be glass like a house window.
It will be flexible like plastic or vinyl.
I am stoked about the techonology

technology definitely makes it easier to be lazy though. when i was a kid we all played sports. it was just normal to play jr. jazz, baseball and other sports. edit: think about how many kids had bikes back in the day. we all had bikes and we rode them everywhere. it seems like i hardly even see bikes anymore. now that kids have a ton of different gaming consoles and handheld computers they are a lot less interested in recreation. can parents help motivate kids to change their habits? they can certainly try. i wish more parents would put forth an effort but they are all fat and lazy from eating mcdonalds... just kidding.

some of the stuff in this video is just plain ridiculous. i don't need my bedroom window to work off of my tablet, that makes no sense to stand in front of my window and work or whatever. i do like the auto-tinting though, that would be sweeeeet. i also can't imagine the cost of some of this stuff and how silly it would be to have every surface interactive. i can see that everyone will have tablets and there will probably be remote screens for them in just about every room but not every stupid surface needs to be compatible.
