AAUUUUGH I'm tired of being sick

anyone else getting their asses kicked by sickness this week? I've been very uncomfortable, bordering on maniacally annoyed, by a nasty bug. First it was a bad headache and aching, crampy muscles, now I've got swollen glands and my eyes feel like they're being squeezed. UGH!!!

Happily, I've been able to stand the laptop and actually get some work done. But otherwise I've been hammered by this evil illness!

I got over a cold last week, it lasted for almost 3 weeks & I was totally down for 4 days, including 2 days of missed work. And now... I feel another cold coming on. :-\

I just got over one last week two. It felt very similar to a sinus infection.:sick:

I just picked up my son's fourth antibiotic for ear infections.....and my daughter is getting a sore throat

Still getting over something, I had a fever of 102 for a few days, a bit of nasal, ear and throat problems.

:sick: Tara stayed home from work Tuesday with a stomach bug, and by Wed. morning was in the ER. It threw her diabetes into a tailspin. From there, 2 days in the ICU, and finally was able to bring her home last night. Crappy week.:sick:

She'll be fine. That diabetes is some scary sh!t, one little thing can throw them into a life-threatening situation.

I rarely ever get sick, and when I do I just work through it, no big deal. This year during the holidays when I was working 16hr+ days 7 days a week I got way sick, it took me out of work for 2 days and a weekend. Actually, one of the VPs ended up sending me home. I got over it (took about the same amount of time, 3 weeks or so) and like you I've been starting to get another cold the last couple days. I think I jumped on this one quick enought hat it's kind of going away no.


I did find one thing that works wonders, the nose strips for colds. If you use them at night, it's amazing that it actually lets you breath and sleep a full night

I've been loading up on the vitamin C big time, I felt this coming on yesterday and have been drinking some of that 'Emergen-C' (1600% daily values of C), popping Zicam and drinking OJ. I need to squash this one before it settles in, I can't take anymore time off.

I'll look into the nose strips, I usually just load up on NyQuil. :greg: 'Cept sometimes I feel drowsy/hungover in the morning. :-\

Those things work wonders! Feels kind of funny when you put them on, but that coupled with some good drugs is the ticket to a good night's rest.

I've just getting over a cold, it was a pain especially sneezing and coughing with a pulled muscle in my back.
