I am looking for someone who has a lathe (or access to one) for a very small job...I need to have two oil impregnated bronze bushings opened up a little bit. With the right tools, it is probably about a 10 minute job. Can anyone help?

thanks

Next wed would be the soonest I could do it... LMK if you don't find anything sooner. What size ID does in need to be opened up to? Drilled or reamed? What is the OD? (just want to make sure we have all the tools/collets to do the job ;))

Lathe access

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am working on an old IHC Travelall that uses bronze bushings to support that axle shafts in the front axle spindles (CLosed knuckle Dana44). They are very thin walled with an OD of 1 1/2" and an ID of 1 3/8". I have some bushings but they need to have 1/8" cut out of the ID. I suspect that this would be easiest to do (accurately) on a lathe rather than a drill press, but either would work. Does this sound like something that you might have the appropriate tools for?

thanks,

Paul
