Just go buy a Dr 650. They are better at everything than a klx300.

Identical HP as a 390 Adventure 😉
Buuuut most DR650's are sufficiently clapped for @jeeper 's liking and probably require similar maintenance schedules to his current stablemates.

DR650's are the mules of the ADV bike world, not the prettiest or most fancy ride, but damn they work!

I really liked my wr250r. Had quite a few adventures on it. Almost no maintenance needed. Not exactly an adv bike, but I'd take it over the KLX300 or the DR650.

The WR250R is a cool bike, especially if it has KTM footpegs . I happen to have it's predecessor, the TTR250 . Way better for dirt but considerably worse for any highway miles than a DR650. It is blue though so Brian will obviously like it.

I wouldn't want a 300 or any other single cylindered bike on the highway doing 65 let alone nearly 100.

I am going to be thinning the heard a little bit next year and I think I need to take that money and buy an adventure bike. I am considering doing what Mike Knight did and buy a KTM 500 or Husky 502.......but may still may stay the traditional route of a 690

I finally pulled the 890 Adventure R out and took it up on the fire break above Farmington to stretch both of our legs. It felt good to get back on it. I’m anxious for a ride
