AF Canyon to middle Provo river?

New to SLC and me and my brother are looking to do a little wheeling up through AF canyon to the middle Provo river for some flyfishing. Neither of us are familiar with the trails in AF so suggestions/help would be awesome. We're in an xj on 31's and an LJ armored on 33's

There's a great map at the ranger station. They used to just hand them out, but now you have to ask for one. It's quite detailed. The main road leaving tibble will take you to pole line pass, which will take you all the way down into midway. I don't know of a way directly to Provo except for the paved road.

The Forest Service's Legal MVUM (Motor Vehicle Use Map) can be found at http://www.fs.usda.gov/main/uwcnf/maps-pubs. Click on the one for the Salt Lake Ranger District. The map that sixtringsteve is talking about is much prettier and easier to read, but they both contain similar information.

Click on "Uinta portion of the forest" at that link. AF to Provo Canyon would be in the PG district. I much prefer this map and find it well organized.
