You can get into cascade springs from a trial that heads off of provo canyon. If you are driving up the canyon you will see it off to the left as you near the dam. Ive never done it in the winter but its a blast without snow.

But why? The canyon is closed for a reason. So people don't go tear up the trails when they are wet and muddy. Obeying the rules and laws is how we keep trails open and not ruin the fragile relationship we have with the Forest Service.
Trust me, I would love to go play up there in the snow, but not at the cost of losing our trails up there.
