Huffington needs to become educated in the real issues of the war and the world as a whole.

Some like to confuse the truth and issues to forward their own agenda and ideas upon others while taking for granted the freedoms our troops defend. :mad2:

My over whelming support goes out to our troops and families who's devotion and commitment allow us all to live here in the US with the freedoms we all enjoy.

LIVE ON :usa:

Which has become its own religion and is just as preposterous and unbelievable to some as any one religion.
This has been posted more then once and I call bullsh!t.

I have in the past made on conscious effort to try and observe an Atheist church as I'm driving around my local community. I haven't yet seen one. I have never heard of the first, second, or third testament of an Atheist bible. Still can't figure out if there's a particular day an Atheist is supposed to worship. Tithing money stays where it's needed the most.

So, where has this Atheist religion been congregating without our knowledge?

I'm considered an Atheist, but it's not something I "practice". I just don't believe in god. Never have, probably never will. It's how I was raised and it's how I'm raising my kids.

Although I did see a billboard the other morning that said "when you die you will meet god", or something along those lines. So, if that's the case, at least I'll have that supposed opportunity I guess. Until then....... :-\

Oh my bad, I didn't realize a a religion by definition had a meeting house easily spotted in a random drive, had to have a bible or collected tithing  Sounds like somebody is so busy being bitter that they've been blinded to the fact there is more than one other religion in this big world of ours ;) And some religions don't meet, they don't collect money and they don't have a literary work of their own. But knowing you, you knew that.

Good for you, that is the beauty of this country, your free to raise your kids in any religions you like, be it one that believes in god or not.

Oh, you might enjoy this:

I'll always be the first to admit my ignorance of religion. I know know nothing about what I don't care about.

I've lived in Ogden since 2003. I have never done "anything" to any member of the local community church, but I'm pretty sure somebody has told somebody not to bother with visiting my house. The brothers have never stopped by as of yet. They walk down the street, we'll exchange pleasantries, but they continue on their way. Like I said, I think they've been told not to waste their time.

I won't be expecting anybody anytime soon.

Agreed, I'm of the same mindset ;)

I'm not referring to the 'local community church', I'm referring to the home teachers from your religion, you know the Athiests of Utah. They meet every Sunday, they want your money and maintain a membership. Sounds like your definition of religion :D

Here's my logic.

Define: Religion
http://wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=religion
Noun
* S: (n) religion, faith, religious belief (a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny) "he lost his faith but not his morality"
* S: (n) religion, faith, organized religion (an institution to express belief in a divine power) "he was raised in the Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith contradicted him"

If atheism = lack of belief or faith in a supernatural power
And atheism != organized practice of belief in supernatural power
Then atheism != religion

But according to some, 4x4 clubs, gun clubs, or any club for that matter might = religion?

/stir,stir :D

Try using that analogy at your local Alcoholic Anonymous meeting. They'll beat you senseless mentioning that. :ugh:

Like I said, I don't practice what doesn't interest me. What would be the point?

I'm an Atheist by societal definitions only.

Devote atheists call guys like you jack-atheists

Never been, tough crowd?
I have an old friend from high school in CA who is a recovering addict. I have to go to training every year for work in Oakland and I visit with him when I'm there. He always hits a meeting and out of respect I always go with him. It's quite entertaining to go with him and we've discussed this very topic. AA/NA will always say they're not a religious organization. I personally think otherwise.
