After 10 years I finally found....

It has the 22r in it, The guy said it was DOA. The blue one has a good running 22r in it so a simple swap will get it running, although I'm not really in a huge hurry. I am pretty sure I'm doing the 3.4 swap, problem is with ORS out of business nobody sells a "kit", I have been doing research alllllll day and it seems that there is only a small handfull of people that have ever swapped a 3.4 into a first gen before. It seems that I'm going to have to fabricate almost all of the parts to do it.......

HAHA, I was wondering how many people from here considered it. I have been waiting for someone to call me a bastard for buying it before them

BASTARD!!!! Nah, I wasn't gonna buy it, just couldn't miss out on the chance to call you a bastard. ;)Cool find Tracy.

A 3.4 swap would be really cool and it wouldn't hurt to add the earlier round headlights :D Just whatever you do don't loose the cool paint scheme or butcher it :p

So what's this going to look like when its done? What are the build plans, besides resto and engine swap, as far as tires, gears, axles, protection...?

Not 100% sure yet, But it will get all the standard toyota stuff, 3-4 inch lift, lockers, 5:29's, duals, Hysteer, dirty 30's, six shooter knuckles, 35's, bumpers, sliders, winch etc.

The few extras I want to do is to make the top removable for sure, make the interior more modern/comfortable for extended expedition style trips, I definatly want to go to the round headlight style. As far as paint goes I'm thinking white right now with grey interior.

The round headlights are the coolest part about the early toyota's (and the tailgate latches) So I agree, round it is! The paint scheme will change some to a more modern look but it will definatly still be "trekkerish" Haha...new word! Butcher? Hell no!
