Afternoon Wheeling

Dunno what was up with it....wouldn't start this morning...so I tinkered around (mostly hitting the starter with a hammer to see if it was stuck) and then I pulled the battery. Through that back in after I checked JJJZJ's 4Runner to see steal his....thought better of it. Through it back in, turned the key and it fires right up. The only thing that I didn't hook back up was my power to my electric fan......I don't get it...must be a jeep thing

I cry. :( :( :( I knew it was coming, but I still cry.

Dude, you're holdin' out man. Hook me up for a last chance opportunity to LOVE an area I've been wheelin' for almost 20 years, though much less so in the last few.

It sounds like we need to have a "Trail Hug" up Corner Canyon.

The landowner wasn't up there for this recent trip, but he was two weeks ago in the same area. He was up there checking out his signs (which have been trashed). Talked with him for a little bit about the future of the area... all development... Everytime I go up there I am shocked to see how far the Suncrest? development is puching East... fast!... Go check it out, you'll be shocked.

...Ok, what you are saying validates what I've understood and heard from different sources, but no one in an official capacity will admit to it. To summarize, you can drive "to" and "on" existing roads that are on FS land, Jacobs Ladder being one of them.....

Bingo, I have been told the same thing several occasions... just never from a high-ranking source :(

Maps show the Jacobs Ladder, Draper Ridge and the Lone Rock Trails... lots of old hiking books show driving all the way to the top of movie rock to begin your hike... :D

Haven't been up since last spring, played in some deep snow drifts, went in via Suncrest, down the hill, took the road to Alpine for a ways, muddy/snowy as hell, lots of fun. Found out how good the SX's do in the snow and mud, bwahahahaha, idled up a hill others were having to take multiple runs at.
