Ran into fattodog up by WW, and some dude in a yota


I broke my pattern on the high side of the double on Rattlesnake, walked right up it last time and this time as well Couldn't believe it so I backed back down and tried again ya that didn't go so well, I had smeared too much mud on it the first time.

I ran into fattodog just below WW, he asked if I was going to do WW and I said no, but I was going to try... it was a snotty mess and I'll have video of that tomorrow (after I go replace this almost new firewire with a new firewire... wire)

After WW everyone else had honeydos and with the beating I just gave the blazer I really didn't want to run Con alone, so I decided to go give the double on Rat hell again... I get there and sure enough it's dry again, so I bump down it and start looking for a place to turn around. You know that wideish flat spot just below the double fall?, with that one lone rock stuck in the middle of everything?, no you don't, cuz that rock aint there no more... well at least it isn't planted there anymore

I pole vaulted on it while I was looking for a turn around and not paying attention to that rock Slammed the front pumpkin and caught some air as the rock uprooted and rolled under my pinion, along my ds and ended up highcentering me on my t case brace.

Bent my exhaust in, bent the crossbrace (some more) and put steel against CV joint and flange.... I swear there's a dent in that BTF diff cover.... I'll have to clean off the rock pieces and look closer tomorrow.

There is a rule about going wheeling by yourself, didn't you get the Memo??? So James was AWOL huh? Must be his fault then, right?

I need to get done with all this yard work so I can go wheeling again! I started up the buggy yesterday just to make sure it still runs.

Turns out the camera stopped putting out on the firewire... so I'll have to cap it the old fashioned way tomorrow

I'm still surprised at what it will do for full half ton leaf packs.

I like leaf springs, the flex is predictable and controlled. Only problem with them is they break when you flex'm too hard. You had plenty of flex in the photos, I am sure that heavy Diff cover helps hold that axle down.

Yeah, I should have been in Moab this weekend too, but it wasn't to be. I was just trying to give James a hard time, but I didn't go(to the snakes) either so I guess I shouldn't talk.


Got a lot done this weekend though, soon be back wheelin (I hope).
