*hillbilly voice*HEY BOYZ Let's go fishin' for 'vettes! YEEEE HAWWWWWW *hillbilly voice*

I still think this is hilarious!

I think they should leave them such as they pulled them out of the hole! It's a great story, they won't deteriorate further, and it's a reminder of how fleeting toys are. Here's a good gallery of them on display in the museum.

I fail to see the humor. I also fail to understand some of the Corvette hate. Sure, the interiors have had a well deserved reputation for being cheap but for better or worse GM has generally concentrated on exterior styling, performance and cost cutting over interior luxury. That seems to be changing now. Still though, I don't think it's fair to crap on 70's and 80's Corvettes and single them out as junk. Pick any year Corvette and compare it to other cars of the same year. I'm not claiming the Corvette would be best, just saying at least keep the comparisons in some sort of context. I think it would be somewhat fair to say almost all cars of the 70's and 80's were crappy.

the last one has been pulled out of the hole... Well what's left of it anyway...
