I just called Alcan a few weeks ago and it was $225/pack, so $450 a pair and a 2-3 week wait. I got a used set of 4" rear All Pros for $250 and called it good.

BTW Camo runs All Pro fronts ;)

Alcan makes All-pro's springs, I believe.
I had some alcans in the Bronco, worked great, I was much happier with them than with my Nationals. Alcans flexxed well and did not sag.
As for cost......$600 for Coilovers...NOT....Add the coils springs/hardware and link setup. $450 for leafs is a bargin. But what do I know, sold some good Alcans and replaced them with coil overs. The 44044 are a good spring, might also look at XJ springs. They are wide, compliant, and have and offset center pin.

Well I hit PnP today with no luck..

Went out to U Pull It and after 3 hours of bustin my A$$ I was able to pull all 4 springs off a wagoneer :)

They had a sell out there for a few axles, $50.00 each
14 bolts, d 60 rear, corp 10 3/4 ton fronts... Some Good Shet. When back to look at them and they were chucking them in the garbage.

Fun day.

the reason I said it wouldn;t be any cheaper is cause Shawn and I have talked about the Duestech(sp?) shocks at about $200 a shock plus hardware you'd be into each corner $400-$500 tops and I know Shawn can do his own links and I am sure he can figure out how to setup up a decent working link suspension...so in other words he'd be about $1000(at most) plus his time and if the springs were going to cost $600 why not spend a little bit more and have the adjustability of coilovers...

Man, you pulled all four...wow you musta had a ****ty day:D...I hate pulling springs off junk yard cars...so did you get any of the axles they were chuckin??? (so they were already pulled)

Nope, let them go,,,,

Well I put the two front springs on. The left one is the one I broke, and the right one just fell apart on me after taking the u bolt and bolts off, the center pin was broke and had been for some time.
I also fliped the springs and gained 2" in wheel base.

I will completly redue the rear end and slide the axle back 4" to get my 100" wheel base.

At this point I think the Coil overs will wait until I build a buggy.
