The guy that owns the one by my house is very good, and watches his staff closely....He used to have the one in surgerhouse too.
But one day I had the Miata in there (to low to change at home), the service guy was going through the check list with me....Said the checked the battery and added a little water to it....I said "oh really, Thats interesting" let it go and went and talked to the owner....(Miata batery is in the trunk, which they never opened, AND even the stock battery is sealed, and this one was an optima!!)
It was very funny to watch the owners face turn red! I got a free oil change, and as I pulled away, I could here the dude getting his a$$ chewed:rofl:

Way back when, I worked for a shop with a contract to fix the tcases and manual tranys they messed up....2-3 a week came in with stripped drain plugs....or burned up because the stripped plug fell out!!

Most are franchises, so sometimes you find a good one, but....

Wow 5 out of 9 shops charged and did not do the work. What dirt bags. Makes you wonder if that is some kind of district policy or if it 5 out of 9 of those employees just don't get paid enough to care about their work and their job.

The only thing worse than when they don't do it is when they do...

Took a truck in a while back to get the oil changed. They had me there for 2 hours saying they couldn't get the filter off, didn't have the right filter so they ran down to checkers and got the one listed. The filter was too large and hitting the fuel lines but they put it in anyway. I figure it's faster for me to drive in to town buy a filter, drive home, let the truck cool and then change it myself. :greg:
