I really like Utah Valley Tire on 400 S and 500 E. When my Jeep has been really far out of alignment and other shops could not get it right they were able to fix it first time. They are a local shop and are members of the four wheeling community.

I went to the midvale les schwab, they couldnt get my truck aligned. They even told me my frame was bent and that was the problem. Went to big O in AF and they got my truck to align without a problem.

I have take my jeeps to Les Schwab a few times... but everytime they always seem to find something that needs to be replaced and tell me that if its not replaced they can't do the alignment correctly and it will still be out of whack...

I completely agree that most tire shops are all out to screw is out of money. I heard good things about the People in the Taylorsville store so I tried it. Good so far but ill update after a couple thousand miles

Les Schwab back in Oregon was incredibly awesome. You'd pull into the parking lot, and before you could get out of your car there'd be a guy come running to see what you needed. You'd give him your keys, and then go stand at the bay window in the waiting room and watch the guys just flying around the garage - any fat guys that got a job at Les Schwab didn't stay fat for long. When I busted a wheel outside of Redmond and the shop there didn't have it in stock, they sent a truck down to Bend or somewhere to get one, and then put my tire on it. On a saturday night, after closing time. I don't know if it's that Les Schwabs in Utah never bought into the corporate culture when they expanded, or if the whole company has gone downhill since Les died, but it's a shame.
I've been getting $40 alignments at Advanced Automotive on 3500s in West Valley. They're pretty quick, and they haven't done a bad job yet.

Another vote for Russ's. The place is quite busy so it is not an in and out deal. Plan on leaving your vehicle.

My high school pal's dad was a senior VP at Les Schwab and he told us the deal(now retired). I also know quite a few people that worked there in Central Oregon. Once Les lost control of the company, the lawyers took it over. once that happened the pay and benefits got slashed and the employees took it in the pants. Les was all about taking care of his employees. You had to work hard, but had a retirement check to show for it.
there are a couple of great guys at the Tooele store (in the bays who are awesome), but the customer service up front is very lacking. the ones in the front office act like your a bother to them instead of a customer.
