I think it's lame they call it the "reaper". Too close to "raptor." I don't blame them for trying to take some of Ford's market share though, the raptors have been selling before they hit the sales floor.

I'd love to see someone bring back the mini pickup and do something similar. The colorados and tacomas keep getting bigger and bigger. I think a nice small turbocharged 4x4 ifs pickup would rock. If they brought the Mexican 4-door rangers to the US, that would be perfect. Some of us want a pickup, but we don't need a full size 4x4 or a v8.

I have read the rumors of this as well as a REAL offroad version of the Tahoe/Yukon. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed. I'd rather have seen an all GM product with possibly a Lingenfelter super Reaper.. Also, it only comes with 33" tires, why not at least match the Raptors 35s? Don't get me wrong, I like the direction they are taking, but compared to a Raptor it seems a day late and a dollar short.

I hope if they do come out with the rumored "Adventure Ready" Tahoe/Yukon they take a different approach. Really, all the Tahoe needs to get to my must-buy-next list is selectable locker(s), good skid plates/sliders, and room for 35" tires without any kind of lift.

Toyota is unveiling a "raptor killer" series supposedly. Called the Toyota Pro (available in Tundra, Tacoma and one other platform I think.

It's cool to see factory vehicles coming with LED light-bars. I hope we'll be seeing a lot more light bars on stock vehicles in the future.

There's a thread on the Tundra forum about it, and there were some leaked photos too until they got disappeared...

Steve - you touched on something that in my mind is the biggest failure here. You can buy it through select Chevy dealerships, but it's not a factory vehicle, at least that's what I understand from the articles.

The specialist is also offering custom exterior graphics, a bespoke gauge package and stitched headrests. No word on pricing yet, but the conversion kits will become available through select Chevrolet dealerships that sell Southern Comfort trucks later this year.

So it's just like the RamRunner, a kit. That will be neat for the 5 people that get them since they will be rare. I see a lot of Raptors lately

yeah, i'm not a fan of crew cabs and short beds. might as well just be an SUV. I think the front end is pretty hideous, too. it's like they're trying to bring back the cat eye model. yuck. I'm surprised they're not doing 35's too. it's not really a raptor competitor without that. the wheel wells are fricking tiny, too.
