I like my detroit truetrack locker in the rear. You hear a full locker in the rear, it makes turning interesting. I agree, it totally depends on the purpose of the ride. I have 3 totally different set ups. I'd do all detroits for the ease, ARB's for the snow driving. full lockers will make 4hi feel squirely on slippery roads, where you can do open diff style with ARB. or just a front locker for the purpose of pulling you up stuff. Rear lockers have the tendency to side hill, or cause you to skid sideways on a climb.

Aside from everything a trussed axle looks rad! Stay on that 20. you'll be fine.

I don't think it is a matter of the clutch packs wearing out, but more an issue of them possibly slipping when you need the traction for an obstacle or something. If you only do moderate trails I think it would be fine. I know someone who runs it in a rear 12 bolt and loves it.

Like I said though, for me it is more that fact that I feel Auburn is misleading their customers.
