annual EJS rumors

RR4W is handling business down in Moab. EJS brings in the money that keeps the trails open down there. Whatever RR4W needs to do to ensure the health, profitability, and profile of EJS is cool with me.

well holy hell i was misunderstood. i don't remember ever saying i won't support rr4w or that i was going down there to get wasted and party. i am not at all mad at rr4w and i believe i even said something about how i hope this keeps moab open longer. don't go and assume i am some young punk (look at my name :D ) that goes down there to drink and drive and get in peoples way. i don't even drink and you obviously don't know me. i have never had a problem at ejs in past years with getting in peoples way and i don't plan to. i have looked at the schedule that was posted and i will watch for changes in it and do all i can to comply with rr4w even though i am not a member. the whole trail run thing is not for me, and i think that is fine.
if you want to be a jerk about it piss off! i am a responsible wheeler that will be on trails not getting in peoples way, and always picking up garbage.
and just cause i like the environment with lots of jeeps and people doesn't mean i am part of the daytona beach crowd.

hopefully that clears things up.
on another note whats the deal with hells revenge? i hear its one way and thats fine, but it looks like there isn't a official trail run on it. do you guys know if the trail runs are subject and/or likely to change?

I didn't read that those were directed at you at all. I think your response was very responsible.

FWIW, mine was not a personal attack on you....just merely a rant.

I think that's probably the sentiment from everyone who posted on this thread.

I think Hells Revenge is one of the official trails at least one day. It's one-way along with a handful of others that are listed in one of the first threads of this post.

hells revenge was only mentioned by todd as a one way trail. it was not included in the "calendar" that was provided earlier on in the thread. i usually run it on sunday anyways and there is nothing really on sunday.

Wow, we've been to ejs for about five years in a row now. I don't register for the trail rides for two reasons. One, my rig is trailered. Two, we go as a family and freinds, so our group is big enough already. We run rusty nail every year. We've never had trouble with the organised groups on gold bar. We just have made it a point to stay out of their way. I'm not sure why in the future this wouldn't work out the same. We also don't drink! NONE OF US! I'm not sure why anyone would go to potato salad during ejs unless they wanted to be around the party crowd. You can find whatever element you want to that week. We like to see the venders show, thats one reason we go during ejs. We have a lot of fun and get to see a lot of cool rigs. I guess the trip there is what you make of it.

Dude, part of your job is to discourage tag alongs! Take the job seriously, or don't do it! The law suits only come from the tag a longs.
