cool rig. We'd love to see you out at the RME quarterly training day (not that you need training, it's just a fun event).

wow, 8 mpg? Don't forget, if your speedometer is off, your MPG calculation is off. If you're not calculating the new tire size into your MPG, it's going to be quite different.

Welcome to RME! A Chevy V8 in a Jeep is one of the best upgrades you can do! :D

The TH400 isn't helping your mileage, they're kind a pig of a transmission (not very efficient), but beefy. What's really killing your mileage is a lack of overdrive... you may want to consider a 700R4 in the future.

Ya the v8 is much better than the old 4 angry squirrels. It shouldnt be my DD for to much longer. I plan on getting a truck that will become a tow rig for when I go full width axles and possibly 4 link

It's been awhile since I've been on here so I'll post some of the changes to the jeep.

I wheeled with the 350 for awhile but started having some overheating problems along with vapor lock and registration problems.

Around the same time all the problems the 350 was having my boss told me if I could sell 2 of his 3 vehicles behind the shop I could have the 3rd. I got them sold and drove home a 93 xj.

I decided I would pull the motor/ trans and build a 4.7 stroker

I also picked up a freshly rebuilt AW4 to go behind the stroker. Right when I had it ready to fire for the first time I decided I wasn't happy with my valve train choice that's where I am now. I'm waiting to get my hesco RVOB6 cam.

Somewhere in that time period I stretched the front 3" with a set of waggy springs.

While I was building the motor I decided it was time for a cage upgrade so I order the BTF front cage kit and picked up a set of cheap bucket seats with harnesses.

At the same time I kind of went on a shopping spree I ordered a 50" light bar, rock lights, CB setup, OBA setup, BTF rear bumper, and also sketched the rear 3" with another set of waggy springs. I think that's about it.. Atleast for now.

Before I cut the corners to match the stretch.

Most of the lights.

Trying to measure for shocks but I maxed the hoist before I lifted a tire.

And this is how she sits.

It's been awhile since I've posted so I'll give you guys some updates.

i wheeled with the 350 for awhile but it started having some overheating and vapor lock problems it was a pain in the ass to get it registered too.

About the same time the 350 was having problems I got a free 93 Cherokee so I decided that I would build a 4.7 stroker.

i also picked up a freshly rebuilt AW4 to put behind the stroker. Right when I had everything ready to fire up I decided I wouldn't be happy with my calve train choice. So I decided to use a Hesco RVOB6 cam. Now I'm just waiting to get the cam.

Somewhere re in the past couple years I stretched the front 3" with a set of waggy springs.

while I had the jeep in the shop for the stroker swap I decided to do a few other things... I ordered a 50" lightbar, rocklights, a set of LED pods, BTF front cage kit, BTF rear bumper, a on board air setup, a CB setup, I picked up a set of bucket seats with harnesses, and I stretched the rear 3" with another set of waggy springs.

The rear stretch before I cut the wheel wells

cage and seats

atempt at measuring for shocks but the hoist maxed out before I lifted a tire.

Most of the lights

And this is how it sits right now waiting for me to get the new cam.

all questions comments and criticism is welcome.
