I'm electrictarded and can't figure out how to wire this. Can anyone tell me how to get power to this thing?

There is an istallation guide here:
http://www.scotsman-ice.com/support/MANUALS/N/ND550MN.PDF
It's not 4th grade level though, so I can't figure out how to run my power wires.

So I've got three wires, I know the copper one just needs to be attached to the cabinet. Where do the white and black ones go?

I can take more detailed pictures of anything you need if it'll help figure it out.

Fried Monkey, comin' up! White is common and black is power... I am not a certified electrician but I have not hurt myself with electricity. I should point out that the few times I electrocuted myself it did not hurt... much. Good luck, and what is it?

You are mixing water with electricity? Brave Monkey. Brave fried Monkey, comin' up!
Trying to get the electricity part taken care of first, then I'll plug in the water. ;) I really just want to verify that it makes ice before I tear it apart and make it nice.

Maybe I just needed to start a thread to get me thinking about it a litte harder, but I think I figured it out. Someone check my work.

back to electricity....

just start touching wires till you get the results you were searching for. come to think of it you probably shouldnt take electrical advise from me. i have been zapped one too many times.

I assume you have a dedicated 20A breaker for it? It's hard to see in your picture, but usually you attach your wires to L1 and L2. On the diagram it does show hooking your black to the switch, but its too blury to see exactly where the white is going. I think you'll be alright to hook it to the white wire on the block you've pointed out. (it's probably tied together anyway)

From the schematic it looks like you have the correct connection points but the picture is a bit blurry. The net result should be: the black wire going to one side of the switch, which should have the other of the switch side going to one side of the transformer primary. The white should go to the other side of the transformer primary.
