Any ideas on what this car is?

Just looking through some family photos and ran across this photo of my grandmother and great grandparents. Naturally my eyes move to the car in the photo. Any thoughts on what that dog is? Not a lot to go on as I’ve heard from many people my build is very similar to his so he’s blocking the easier identifiers of the car. He’s about 5’7” or so guessing by my grandmothers height. She was born in ‘22 so this could be anywhere from late ‘30s-.
