Anybody follow the Mortensen murder case?

Charges against Roger and Pamela Mortensen are to be dropped. Apparrently new evidence led to a couple guys in Vernal.

They have both been in jail since being indicted by a grand jury at the end of July

No surprise that it was dropped, i am not a fan of the detectives down in that area (my area) I feel as they push things when they have the media and just try to make a bust. I am close to another murder case which involves a friend that is spending life right now. Ver glad they found the right guys, we already destroyed the mortensons life but hopefully the state will make it up to them

I would be a very pissed off person if it was me who was in jail and charged with murder which i didnt do. Now these poor people have been ruined for life, their faces and names all over the news being accused of murder now they have to live with that forever I know if it was me there would be some serious explaining and wanting to know what they are going to do for what they did to me!

Nope but its kinda odd whne i hung out with those guys back in high school also and knew Kiplyn well. Now they deserve what they get, but i am talking about Steven Hatch being accused of murdering his wife. There was alot to it but they hammered him and then a couple weeks later his wifes boyfriend was in jail for fraud, drugs and many other things but stev had a clean record and was not around when it happened just a messed up case

A friend at work lived right next door to Martin Bond in an apartment at USU. Said he lived there even when this stuff was all going on. Said he would always say, you guys should come over and watch a movie
I bet he is glad he didn't, he could have ended up dead as well.

I guess they were purely after the guns and that its a pretty rare and valueable collection?

One of my college professors sons is married to the daughter of the man who sold those guns to Kay. I guess he was questioned for a long time since they were originally his.
