Anyone interested in a trailer group buy?

TRNDRVR, his neighbor, and I are thinking of heading up to Big Bubba's this weekend trying to get a group buy with Bubba, I've already talked to him, he said to come up and wheel and deal... Anyone else interested? The more the merrier...

Well, we all bought trailers, but it wasn't from Big Bubba's. We went down to Wasatch Trailer, and the trailer we all got from there was hands down a better built trailer, and got it for a lot better price than what Bubba was giving us. He wasn't even willing to budge on his price considering we were buying almost $5000.00 worth of trailers. Oh well, his loss and Wasatch Trailer's gain.

Where is wasatch trailer? I might be willing to do a group buy with someone but it would be aleast a month before I could buy a trailer.

Here's the pic of mine: I really like the ramp storage, it has doors you can lock if need be, the trailers have C-Channel all throughout where as the for the same price over at Bubba's you got angle iron. I also like the "swivel" style jack too.

how much did they hit you for .i'm in need of a trailer wouldn't mind a new one.
Well 3 of us went in there looking, so with 3 of us we got each one down to $1637.00 before tax and licensing. That is a 16' tandem axle, brakes on one axle, bulldog hitch, ramps and storage for them...

The salesmen (Dustin) said that dovetails are only $30 bucks more! But I didn't want one anyway, but I know some people on here want dovetail...

Oh yeah for sure... When I called them earlier this week when it was just me, the secretary quoted me $1799... but call and talk to Dustin next week or whenever, cause they like to wheel and deal up there. They are at:

Can you give me some details here? I'll also be buying one soon, and I'm curious what is so pronounced about the quality. I haven't looked at the Wasatch trailers yet, just Bubbas. I do really like the jack on yours as opposed to Bubba's, and also the rail where the ramps hook on. On yours, it looks like a ratchet strap would hook on there nicely, whereas on Bubba's he just has a piece of angle iron with one edge facing up, so it'd be tough to hook a tie down on. How sturdy are those fenders? They look a little weak compared to the steel ones Bubba uses. I was just up there today, and I was quoted $1675 (no dickering at all) for one equipped just like yours (except coupler was just standard). 16' 7000 GVW, brakes on 1 axle, ramps w/storage. BTW, what price was Bubba giving you?

Can't see the pic... But I'll bet for that price your getting angle iron as cross-members on ours they have C-channel for cross-members... Bubba himself told us for a 16'er with C-channel cross members it was $1850 before tax and licensing. The fenders are weaker cause they are bolted on rather than welded like Bubbas, but I don't think I'll be jumping up and down on them. But I have stood on them when getting out of the jeep and I think they'll do just fine.

that looks like teh same trailer I have, except I have the rails on the side. I paid 15xx for mine 3 years ago from wasatch.

My only complaint is the paint likes to chip. I also wish I would have done a better job staining/sealing the deck....

I'm thinking mine must be a Wasatch trailer too, since it looks exactly like those. Same "enclosed" ramp storage, same hitch, same jack, same C-channel construction. Mine's 18' long though.

The front and rear rails are nice and easy to hook straps/chains to. Mine has steel fenders that were bolted on, and are now welded with a bent piece of tube going up and over the inside edge just in case I need to drive on them, or rub up against them. Those new ones look like aluminum--if you wanted to you could do the same thing with tube, you just couldn't attach it to the fender like I did.

Mine has towed my F-350 Powerstroke extended cab when the water pump failed--WAAAAY over the weight limit, but it did it with no problems or lasting effects. (I wouldn't recommend that, but it does indicate how strong the thing is...)

Click here for exact details of the trailers we bought.

Bubba makes a nice trailer but, for the money, the quality of trailer we got from Wasatch Trailer was far better than Bubba's. His $1600.00 trailer was made out of 3"x5" angle iron for the frame. 2"x2" angle iron for the decking cross members. Crappy, non-removable tongue jack, and just other little things that didn't make it as nice. Also, all he wanted to do was to sell us more trailer than what we were shopping for, and he was spouting off that $250.00, or a hundred here or a hundred there, was nothing to be throwing around when buying one of his trailers. Well, I'm a single income family, and this trailer is a luxury to me, and $250.00, or a hundred here or a hundred there, is a lot of money.

Also, if ANYONE here ever sees me jumping up and down on my fenders, KICK MY ASS!!!:ugh:

I paid $1640 for my 16' 7000 lb Bubba's trailer.

I got 5" C-channel frame, 8000 lb bulldog hitch, 8000 lb Bulldog jack, 11GA steel diamond plate fenders (I can jump on them no problem, and I'm a big guy), 7' long ramps with nice under deck storage with a door.

I bought mine in '02, maybe with these ass-kickin' steel prices they've cheapened them up.

Just in case someone still needs one...

Hey, thanks dude. I called that guy and looked at his trailer...I think I'll end up buying it. It is just like the ones you guys bought with a few differences. No spare tire, but...it has the 3" pipe top removable side rails. I'll post some pics if I end up with it.
