This year I set a goal to get my fat ass into shape.. Especially after seeing a picture of me at the first noob run:eek:

So I started a good diet and going to the gym a lot, and now it has turned into an obsession. Not a bad thing, but it can get expensive. I am just wondering what other people are using as supplements?

I am using Cellucor Products and they are working well. I use C4 with N03 as a pre workout and P6 everyday right now and have some M5 coming and am going to pick up some R3 to try for recovery. I can't believe how good this stuff works for me, I am getting huge..... But in a good way now!! The weight I have lost makes trail riding more fun, nothing like free horsepower.

What are other people doing?

I love energy drinks! Everybody that knows me or has gone wheeling with knows I am a energy drink junky. The reason I am a junky is for a couple of reasons: it helps my a.d.d. most people don't know but stimulents help people with a.d.d., second boost of energy, finally it helps burn fat. I have lost 30 lbs now, with drinking them with diet and exercise. Plus when I am low on energy heading to the gym they give me the burst I need to get a great work out, and help up my weights I lift

This being said it all depends on the ones you drink. The sugar free, carb free, are the best for keeping calories down.

I love energy drinks!

I saw no indication of this on the trail ;)

I am by no means an expert, but my sister is a personal trainer. She has me on the BSA products I'm not a big fan of the pre workout stuff, but of the ones i've tried the no-explode works well. She also told me the syntha-6 protein is one of the best out there. It's a little expensive, but it metabolizes really well, and the mocha tastes like a frappachino from starbucks :D

I also take the "sport" GNC vitamin packs, have all kinds of goodness in them. And if you catch them at the right time you can pick up a supply for about a buck a day.

I am not sure that energy drinks are the key to good fitness, health or power training. If it helps your a.d.d. then great but fitness not so much.

it just like taking any energy boosting supplement :D

hydroxy cut
xantrex 3
and many more...

I took NO-Explode for about a year. In the last month I have been taking C4 before my gym and biking sessions. I like the C4 a little better. The NO-Explode gives me great energy and adds a little endurance but it dehydrates me like crazy. I would constantly be hitting the drinking fountain. I get the same energy from the C4 without the dehydration.
I also take some Calcium, Magnesium supplements that seem to make my recovery faster. For protien I buy Optimum Nutrition Whey from GNC. It is fairly inexpensive, tastes pretty good (as far as protien powder goes) and dissolves very fast in water.

Exercise is defenatly addicting for me. It is also like any other addiction. If you get away from it for a while you don't "jones" for it as badly. I took a couple months off this winter and it still amazes me how much better I feel when I am working out. My goal for this year is to stay out of the gym as much as possible while the weather permits other exercise outside. Hopefully that will help with the boredom of the gym in the colder months.

I started working out in late December, more for weight loss and feeling better than bulking up. I usually drink a protein drink before my workouts, Cytosport 100% Whey (Costco). After my workout, I have another in the dry sauna. So far, I have lost 28 lbs., and have put on alot of muscle. I feel better than I have in a very long time. My mtn. biking and hiking endurance have improved greatly. I've been considering trying some creatine, but dont know.
