Back in Georgia I had a friend who would do fab work for people (bumper, sliders, etc). I was just wondering if there was anyone in the area who did stuff like that. I'm looking for a rear bumper for a 1st gen 4runner with a tire carrier and thought I'd support my local fab guy.

I can do stuff like that. but who is going to pick up the needed material? when are you going to do it? is said person going to want to help? I am not cheap, so how much are you willing to pay?

all things to consider

You probably ought to post up how much you are willing to pay, or what parts you have in trade. I need a Dana 300 t-case.... ;)

I just don't want to blow $650 on one from up in Idaho. So I'm looking at dropping about half that on a bumper. If someone does some really sweet work though it might be worth the $650 and no trip to Idaho.

Okay, that makes a difference. Sometimes guys are only willing to pay $100 for a bumper. For that little, one would be better off buying from a catalog or a place like 4Wheel parts. $100 bucks is too little money for what it takes to build any sort of bumper. For $650, however, I'm sure any of the shops around here could build you a sweet bumper. Even the non shop guys could help you out.
