Cabelas is always over priced on everything. That stainless steel version can be found for $140-$150 on some holidays. I have that CMMG non SS I picked it up for $130 last year.

It's still a good buy regardless, you save so much $$ plinking with .22LR vs 5.56 or .223, especially right now that they are gouging us with prices on ammo.

Do you change the scope settings when you switch, or is it pretty close? I've considered one of these for a while but I own five .22LR rifles already. I may pick one up if I see it cheap enough.

It's pretty close but I get more fliers when I'm shooting the .22, I dont change settings. But my barrel is chambered for 5.56 with a 1/8 twist. I think to fire .22 more reliably you are recommended a 1/12 twist, but dont quote me on that because I'm going off memory here. If you dont care about SS and just want a phospate one you can find them for around $140-$150 all the time.

I'm probably going to buy the parts to assemble a dedicated .22, I'd be looking around $300 in parts for a cheap plinking upper.
