Post up your times. Jack and I rode on minute 42.....pretty much the tail end of the novices. He rode his 105 and I signed him up in the 125 Novice class. I signed up sportsman and probably rode at about 70% of what my race pace used to be. We finished the first loop just as the storm hit. After waiting the storm out, we went out to do the 2nd loop. About 3 miles in we got in the middle of the hail storm and decided to call it a day and just go back. So the only times we have are for tests 1, 2 3.

I must say that I was impressed with Jack's times. Especially test #1 that was 12 miles long. I expected him to be further behind me than he was.

I loved this race. Probably my favorite so far other than Chimney Rock. It's a toss up cause I loved the mountain terrain. I've had suspension issues the last 2 races and finally figured it out. So I'm just glad to get some good seat time back in. I had a good crash in test 5 that slowed me down and couldn't get it going again. Especially test 6 in the grass track. It was so slick. I was just putting along and didn't care about my time there cause I was still hurt pretty good and the hail was coming down. All in all it was a great race.

I really enjoyed the race. I had a great time despite the weather. I'm impressed with the level of riding from everyone at this race.
I crashed over the bars on test 5 in the slippery clay, and lost my cell phone out of my camelbak
I did great on the grass track in spite of the hail and pouring rain.
Really an amazing race course and really really fun terrain. I came into the finish soaking wet and muddy with a big smile definitely one for the books.

I had a blast at the race! Single track like that is my weakness (though I sure have fun riding it)...but I felt good on tests 1, 2, and 4. Test 3 I just sucked it up (had a crash and just plain rode crappy)...test 5 it was raining, and I had to lose my goggles, then I crashed and lost my left hand grip (trying to grip a wet handlebar, with a muddy glove...not fun...ended with a death grip on that bar-because I didn't want my hand to slip off-and arm pump so bad I almost couldn't even pull in my clutch)...so no goggles, one hand grip and pouring rain and for a minute hail, in the slippery mud...I just didn't have much fight in me for tests 5 and 6.

59th overall is officially my worst overall finish in like 3 or 4 years...I felt like I rode better than that...but it is what it is. I'm still smiling about the race so it was all worth it!
