Anyone running RCV CV axle shafts?

I need to purchase some Dana 60 shafts. I should stick with what I know and buy cromo U joint shafts and CTMs, but I really don't want to roll the dice on Yukons and while Foote stubs are available inners don't appear to be. The sale on CTMs is over and I cannot justify $3700 for those. I am considering RCV. They are at the top of my budget range, but if they are the best I can do for the money I am in. How are they to maintain, and what do you give up as far as tuning radius? Do they seal well or do you take them apart clean and re grease after every water crossing or mud hole?

Give up in turning radius? I thought the appeal of RCVs was more degrees of steering? In fact I thought they had the most steering up until Spidertrax just came out with their 50* shafts ($4k+ though)

If you can afford it, do it. I'd love to be running RCV's.

Just to be clear I am talking about the lower priced ultimate RCVs for $2000 not the $3000 300M version. Still lifetime warranty but as the owner of a set of Superior shafts I know lifetime does not mean mine but the companies, which is not always that long.

Im running RCV in a rear steer application. 300M outers and Chromo inners. I love them. Chevy application, centered pumpkin, spool, 5.13, solid outers and stock kingpin inners. My steering stops are adjusted all the way in and I am still well within the warrantied turning angle. The price was a bit hard to swallow, but I justified it as the "last set of shafts I'll ever buy." I have done river crossings, muddy race courses, lots of moab dirt, sand dunes and highway driving with them, and I haven't done any maintenance to them in the 3 years Ive had them. I am going to pull them apart this year to replace the boots cause something got wedged in between the inner C and the boot and made a groove. I guess I will see how they look. But my .02, I would buy them again for sure.

I'm running them on my LJ. They have over 30K miles on them. I just recently split a boot on the passenger side and pulled the CV apart to inspect it. The internals looked great. I have been through multiple water crossings, mud, sand and it is DD'd all winter. I pump a few pumps of grease in them every oil change, nothing more.

As for the company standing behind their products, they are awesome. While putting my shaft back together I buggered the thread on the stub shaft. I didn't notice until the nut was almost totally seated in the unit bearing. Once it stopped, it really stopped. Couldn't get it off with a 3' cheater. I called RCV to ask if I could buy just the outer with the CV. They guy asked what happened, I told him I had screwed it up and could not get the nut out off and the threads were hosed because of my mistake. He apologized for my mistake and gave me the shaft for a little over 1/2 price. They are $$ and the stupid plastic boot was $65 but if they will help me out that much on a shaft I totally admitted to screwing up I have no doubt they will stand behind a failed product.
