Front loaders are a pain in the a$$. They take twice as long to run a cycle. You can't close the door cause it will start to stink like mildew. If I were to do it over I would get a top of the line top loader.

It sounds like you have a Maytag Neptune!

You've got a problem then.

I just bought front loader washer and dryer, and ours doesn't stink. We just got back from a 2 week vacation and the washer was fine. The only problem we've had so far is I don't think the washer is leveled correctly.

Other than that, them things are nicer than my car.

I have Lg's front loaders. I was pretty much just going tp get a decent top loader, but with the discounts they have on the front loaders, it was only 200 bucks more and they use a lot less elctricity and a lot less water. They do reccomend you leave the washer door open to dry though. I didn't think it was a big deal.

I have the Samsung at the top of the list (but when we bought it, it was a bit more expensive). It's so freaking nice. Our washroom is on the second level so we wanted a quiet setup. That thing, even if the washroom door is wide open, can't be heard if it's on or not. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I ever needed to. Also, our front loader is way faster then any of our top loaders have been and I don't have the mildew problem that was mentioned earlier in this thread. I love having the front loader.

My wife's aunt hated her front loader, she says it walked all over, it's noisy, and took forever. Then she saw ours and figured out that you get what you pay for. She got rid of hers (which were brand new) and bought a set like ours, she's been happy with them since.

I paid just over 1000 bucks total for our front loaders. They are also stackable which is sure nice
