UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
12:00

Stupid Regen. My truck is now sitting life less on the side of the freeway at Devils Creek Resivoir.

12:06

Placed call to Road Side Service. They will find a tow company and send them my way.

12:08

Call came in from tow company. They can only tow up to 12k. I'm just a little to heavy at 22k. They will call Road Side and tell them.

12:09

Automated call from Road Side saying they found a tow service and they will be here in one hour.

12:19

On hold waiting for Road Side to find me a new tow company.

New ford? Did it tell you to pull over safely and stop?

Got a check engine light, and derated me at the same time. Pulled into Tremonton. Their only service center could not fit me in till around 3pm. I called Larry Miller and got parts and stuff coming and headed off to Mackay ID. Heading up the hills at Devils Creek, the Stop Engine light came on. Got back on the phone with Larry Miller and they said it could shut me off after a mile or a hundred miles. Figured this was a good place to pull over for a tow. I guess that guys stuck in the air in Mackay will just have to wait.

Sounds like the first towing company that could not tow me, called his buddy to come get me. He is on is way. But Road Side said they didn't authorize it and they are sending their guy. It's a race now!

Ah, the drama is over. Turns out the same guys was called twice. I was on the hook by 2:20. I was very surprised, and happy that Larry Miller was nice enough to order the parts before I even gave them the truck. All new regen parts.

The next real question is will the parts arive from LA in time to get me back on the road by Monday.

In the mean time, I'm loading as much tools as I can into my wifes car so I get some hours tomorrow.

Stay tuned.....

That was a bit of an exageration. The call was for a bucket truck that had the hydrualics stop working on it, while there was a guy in the bucket working on a power line. Tech support was able to help them manually lower the unit so the guy could get out, but it hasn't moved from that spot.
