Did you read the article? What I got from it is he's tried to put it through every session since 1989. (that's 20 years for those that suck at math ) We've had Democratic Presidents since then. Besides, the President won't have much say on the bill until it's passed the House and the Senate, right? I do find it ridiculous, but I don't think there's too much to worry about. Hell, Conyers is older than McCain Oh, and that article is about a year and a half old.

Slavery is a sh1tty thing. But I've often thought that the descendants of slaves in America actually benefitted heavily from the crimes committed against their ancestors. They were born in the USA instead of Africa, and have had opportunities that many Africans can only dream about.
