Aussie locker opinions

Just to follow up, I've had this in for a little over a month now, and so far it's been great. Through mixed street and highway use, on dry pavement or snowy pavement, it's remarkably well behaved. I can make it chirp and scuff if I try, but as long as I drive like a sane person I hardly know it's there. It doesn't appear to lock up under light throttle, so accelerating and turning from a stop hasn't been a problem as long as I wait for a big enough window to merge. I'm not noticing any abnormal wear on the tires either, though I'll keep an eye on that.Right now, I'm not seeing any reason not to run one of these in the back of a streetable rig. None of the horror stories about automatic lockers that had me so worried have proved out.

Glad to here it is working out for you. I have been running a spartan in the front this week in moab and it is doing great! Dana 30 with 37s and 4.56 gears. I hope the shafts hold up:-/.
