Aussie lockers

Recently found info that Aussie lockers are now available for Montero Sport....lets hope it is so since only other option has been ARB.

Any thoughts on them, good bad or ugly?

I liked them in my Jeep. They are smoother and quieter then a lockrite. For the price they are probably the best locker you can get.

three of our group have them in the front and another has one in the rear. we are all very pleased

yet another friend has a spartan locker in the rear and it seems to work really well and it makes no ratcheting noise at all. i'd go with whichever one you can get cheaper.

they are super easy to setup as well. iirc the montero has a drop-out third, no? either way it should be cake

I'll vouch for the Aussie. I'm running one in my FJ40. It looked just like a locrite I had in a previous rig but I get almost no noise from it.

He should! But I think Aussie Locker is their own distributor.

I have setup 3 of them and everything went well. I have also beat on one and no problems.

I have one in the rear of my TJ. I have busted an axle shaft and it did nothing to the locker. Trail fix was quick. They do ratchet but its not a big deal or too noisy.

Aussie Locker in the front of this thing...

I sold it over 3 yrs ago and as far as I understand, the current owner is still running it. It worked well, I was very pleased with the Aussie Locker, for the price.
