This may be the answer for stupid judges. It's in Durango. $150 and no "I'll just put this in my pocket series fee". $150 per event fee. NO CONES! NO POINTS! It's you and the clock. May 28-30th Aug.6-8th Oct 15-17th
All who love the skinny pedal should apply.

How long is the drive to the ranch?

Mapquest says about 430 miles...8-9 hours. They're conservative on time, so I'm guessing about 7 hours if you're not towing.

This sounds like a cool event - I could check out Mesa Verde while I'm down there!

...let me get you the shortest directions from Moab...you dont wanna go through Cortez....there's a shortcut but I cant remember the hwy#....I'll find out though and post'm.... ;)

....from Moab 191 south to Monticello...left on 491 to Dove Creek....through Dove Creek....left on 184 toward Dolores...when you get to the 184/145 intersection go left to Dolores instead of right to Cortez...feels wrong but it's just a short distance then you'll turn right again to stay on the 184.....this will hit 160 in Mancos....turn left to Durango...when you come into Durango you'll hit the first 550/160 intersection where you'll turn right this keeps you on 160.....pass Walmart (unless you need stuff...might be your last chance)and Home Depot...go straight though the next 160/550 intersection staying on 160...the next turn will be a right on 172 to Ignacio...there is a signal at this intersection and an airport sign ( I think it says La Plata Co Airport but it might just be the picture of a plane cant remember).....as you come into Ignacio you pass the casino on the left then some convenient(sp?) store on the right...just after that store you'll turn left on 151......the next turn really isn't a turn....about 10 miles out as your driving you'll see the hwy make a 90 to the left and a dirt road go straight off...that will be CR328...follow 328 climb the nasty washboard hill and at the top you'll see a big silver gate on the right that says Avalanche Ranch... :D

Great directions, but you forgot about the right by the ol' oak tree   Also if anyone is into moto-x they have a cool track, and they are having races just about every weekend.

HARD-CORE said he's probably going to compete. If so, I'll be cruising out with him to watch the event. Should be fun. :D

This snit makes the normal rockcrawling seem boring. We'd get DQ'd for going that fast at a UROC or po rock event. Hit a tree? Steve and Mike just laugh.
You guys have to try this. I had cotton mouth just from driving. Most of the courses were about 1/4 mile and some of the times were 5 min. All of the courses are pre run with a TJ on 35's. The fastest time on the roughest course was by Josh in a Land Cruiser. You don't need a buggy to have fun. Get your arse's down to the Ranch Aug.6-8. PS the entry fee was dropped to $50. So it's all about fun. Forget the money and the BS.

Mike Palmer broke a front axle joint that took out the two axles. Had 3 flats which didn't stop him 1 on 1 run and 2 fronts on another. Todd broke an trans mount and a rear link. I ripped a side wall. Josh took 3rd. and the we're havin fun award.
