So thanks for the info on my last post for my lift kit. Now on to axels. My 74 cj5 has the 3 speed trany with a dana 20 to 44 front to rear. I was trying to find a 44 to fit the front but haven't been able to locate one. Should i countinue my pursuit for a front 44 or is there another series i sould look into. Also since i have a narrow wheel base should i be looking for new years that may be a bit wider to help with the roll over thati fear is in my future. Maybe 2 inches on each side. I know the cj7s would give me that and if i go newer it would go out 4 inches but i am also trying to keep it street legal. Thanks for any info

Keep your stock axles for now. The first thing you should be swapping out is the transmission. Be on the lookout for a T18 with a 6.5 to 1 granny gear (some will not have it so verify before you buy). I would also want to get disc brakes up front pronto. There is plenty of how to info out there I am sure.
