Axle Shaft Straightening

I am wondering if it is worth having an axle shaft straightened. I have a rear 9" 35 spline Moser shaft that I tweaked enough to wobble the tire more than an inch. The mounting surface is probably 3/16" in/out. How about some thoughts on it, and maybe guesses on costs.
On a related note, I heard that a long time ago there was a batch of these axles that got out of Moser's shop without being hardened. It makes me wonder if mine is one of those. Is there someone here in the SL area that does that if I find out that is part of the issue?

TIA
Steve

If it has "tweaked" then it has yielded and straightening it out will only make it weaker. If its bent, its junk.

The shaft itself has maybe 1/16" of a steady bow in it is all. So I think most of the bend is right at the bearing. Sounds like I need to get one ordered.
