I am once again looking for a new job. Now that I'm done with school and that pesky little wedding thing is almost out of the way I need to find a more 'Career Oriented Position'. I'm not picky, a limited list of my 'skills' are listed below. As for pay, I'm looking for the $25,000 - $30,000 range to start. If anyone is hiring, post up I'm happy to fire off resumes to any and everybody.

I have degree's in History and English (and Political Science, but who cares:rolleyes:)
Four Years of retail management experience.
Lots of sales experience
Have computer technical experience, both PC and Apple
Well versed in Adobe products, but not an expert
Eager to learn and happy to try new things!

I could use a 30 gig ipod. unless you have an idea when the new gen will come out.

back on topic, Steven, do yourself a favor and think more highly of yourself. You should be able to find plenty of jobs in the 35-40k flavor starting out--especially if you're willing to work retail management (which sucks balls but can pay reasonably well). You'll only make as much as you feel you're worth, and that starts with you. If you're getting by now, don't be in a hurry and find the right opportunity for you.

The next gen should be out any time, but I won't sell one to you because you hurt my feelings.:-\
But thank you for your folksy wisdom, Cody. Do you have any leads for me? I only threw out that dollar amount because I'm looking for experience as much as pay. I'm willing to work for less if I can see it translating into something better later on.

Well, we're hiring a pre-press person right now, but I'm not sure it has the upward mobility that you are probably seeking. In October I'll have a line on some good jobs. Ask me again then.

You can sort the craigslist and about 1 in every 50 postings could potentially be a legit job. I had a couple really good interviews with a couple companies that I found from there, but decided to go a different direction. You're doing the right thing, just keep putting yourself out there and be patient. Hopefully you're not in a position that you NEED a lot more money right away so you can take the time to find the right job for the long run.

Yeah, I'll hit you up in October. Craigslist is always hit or miss, I've thrown my resume up on YourUtahJob.com, Monster and the U's website. Plus I've just been hitting the pavement. I'm not in a position where I NEED money, more than anything I would like to find a good job that I would be happy at that has upward mobility. But more money than I'm making right now would be nice as well!:D

I wish I could just find someone to pay me to be an asshole. it sucks there isn't much money in any of the things I'm truly skilled at.
