My son's friend has only camped three times including this trip. All with us. It's cool to see him take to it. I think all kids are pre-disposed to camping.

All kids love camping until their parents train then not to.

Thanks. I planned about 60% of it a year in advance and the rest was usually a few weeks in advance. A few were the day of.

It is too bad I can't count Hotel nights...This year I would be rivaling the 60 night guys.

March 22: Bountiful--1 night with my sons scout troop
April 15-19: Escalante / Hole in the Rock--4 nights with my son, dad, and BIL
June 3-6: Hanksville / Hole in the Rock--3 nights (trip cut short by a day) with my son and dad
June13: Crystal Lake--1 night with my 2 youngest kids
July 18: South Fork with Maldito X and my 2 boys.
August 15: South Fork with my buddy and oldest Son. Went fishing on Causey the 16th.
Sept 19-21: 2 nights in Lava Hot Springs fishing and doing a furnace install in a cabin (we didn't stay in the cabin).
Sept 26: American Fork Canyon for QTD and NPLD. Great to put names and faces to screen names!
Oct 15-17: 3 nights in Moab wheeling with my fam over UEA.



17 nights total for the year. I might get to 20, but that will prove challenging with all of the projects I need to do at home and with my work travel.

Wish I had the time to get out as much as you guys are. Looking through some pictures of going to moab for a week with my two older sons really makes me want to take them out more. They have loved the couple times we have taken them camping, just wish our lives would slow down a little so it could happen.

Being too busy stinks. I wish I could get them out more. I only have so many years to make these kind of memories with them. They won't remember the extra few bucks I made at work staying late, but they will remember I had the time to make shadow puppets on the tent ceiling with them.
