Ballistic Fab out of business.

It’s always a bummer to see off-road related businesses close, even if it is one that caused a lot of drama over the years lol

I wish I could think of something I need from them with the discount but alas

I always thought their customer service was trash, but still sucks to see them close, since they were a big name.

25% off is good, just not sure I want to risk ordering anything and go through the months of waiting and waiting, never receiving my parts, and having to do a card dispute….again.

Gives me just more drive to call summit for any joints I need.

I remember hearing some drama with them in the past, I didn't order much from them, but when and what I did order I received over the years. I think this was after the major issues were addressed. Still sucks to hear, I haven't heard anything from them recently, other than the occasional SM post about them innovating and getting more in house equipment.

Hopefully you get the shave kit. I used one once on a 14 bolt. Was a surprisingly easy install and turned out very well. I filled the diff with water to mark my line then took a sawzall to it and cut it in one nice piece. I smoothed out that chunk and use it now as a paperweight in the garage.

I would be afraid to try. I know many do it that way but to me it seems like it would be hard to get it perfect. I am glad I had access to a big mill at the time I did mine.

It wasn’t bad at all. The water is the key to getting a good line. I cut about 1/8-1/4” above the line then used a grinder to dial in the gap and shape for welding. Pretty easy. Plus my cool paper weight.
