Suddenly feeling better about my walmart special I replaced at 6 years.
Never put a multi meter on while running, but according to the dash I’m getting 14.4-14.6 while running.Ummm.... Maybe. AGM didn't play in Cindy's JLU. @bryson is good at explaining it, I'm not. But basically, the AGM wants a higher charge voltage than the computer in our JL will give it and so it never gets a full charge in regular driving.
Have a barely used Odyssey I ended up replacing with a plain old SLA and it's been smooth sailing ever since. If anyone is interested in a barely used Odyssey at a decent price.
But, I dunno, what I dunno.

I did a similar thing with the Armada, but with mine all I had to do was unclip a harness connector at the battery and it stopped varying the voltage and now puts out a consistent 14.4 V.I picked up a little diode thingy that goes in the alternator fuse slot and is supposed to boost the voltage to make the AGM happy. But I haven't been running AGM, so I don't know if it works or not. Maybe that's an option in the JLU though?
