Well I got all the required stuff to finally make a spare beadlock but I ran into a problem:confused: When I got the beadlock rings one is marked inner and one is marked outer. The outer is a little bigger diameter. But the marked inner doesn't set on the rim right its too small. DId they mark them wrong or is inner ring supposed to be smaller than the outer ring:confused:

you should have about a 1/16 to 1/8 gap all the way around the inner ring and the rim.you need to wedge it in with something to keep it centered as you weld it

so the picture is correct? all the write ups I've found show the inner ring sitting on the top of the rim...not inside it:confused:

i've seen it done both ways .some companies will have it site on top of the rim while others will have it drop inside the rim bead lip .

They should be correct. As mentioned, some go inside your bead and some go on top. If they went on top of the rim then both rings would be the same size cause that's the size you have to have for the outer ring as well.
