Bear's 68 Harvester

1968 International Scout 800
345 V-8
Dana 20 t-case
4 speed for now but looking for an IH TF727
Scout II Dana 44 front, open diff 3.54's, knuckles cut and rotated 5*
Scout II Dana 44 rear, open diff 3.54's
Scout II springs, sprung over axle

I bought this scout about 3 years ago from the second owner, bone stock. I then picked up an old chev to wheel, needed money and sold the scout about a year ago.

I sold it to cruiserhead, he put in all the scout II parts, and then I bought it back.

It still needs quite a bit of work to finish all the swaps and get on the trail, but its a scout, its cool.

I put the EZ 12 Standard harness in the skuggy. The product was awesome and the price was great. The paperwork it came with left something to be desired but painless has a very helpful website. :D:D I mounted the fuse panel upside down under the dash and it is working out very well. Every wire in the scout was replaced and we haven't had a single electrical problem.

Finally got the scout over to the shop, here are some better pics of how it sits now, and some pics of the motor swap, axle swap, etc.

I personally think these are the coolest hubs ever!!!

It looks a lot better than when it was in the same place a couple years ago. I guess being a binder it fit's right in, in the cow pasture next to the harrow.;)

So I need some electrical advice.

Looking at picking up that 12 circuit EZ Harness, but wondering if it will be enough.

I'm looking to do all the normal electrical, lights, horn, radio, wipers, signals, heater, etc, but also wanting to install a cb, rock lights, maybe a ham, and hard wire an inverter, plus axillary power points for MP3 players, etc.

Should I look at doing the Mini 20 circuit kit for another $30?

You could just run a 12v power strip for additional items. Thats what I did with inline fuses after we used up my 12 circuits

I got the strip from a late 80s chev truck in the junkyard. They are located on the firewall on the passenger side. They are everywhere in the junkyards.

Basically you run your battery cable to one end and out the other and it has 3 or 4 extra posts then battery cable back out the other side. It works really slick and Im sure I only have 10 bucks in the strip and inline fuses.

I can grab a pic of it tomorrow if you want.

But for 30 bucks....I dont know. It might be worth it just to have it all together

This looks like the best way to go to me. This gives you a starting point and you can customize anything else you would need. Just make sure any connectors that go thru the firewall are super strong or better yet hard wire them.

Yes I am ready for ejs. No the scout is not ready for ejs. To many things to fix not enough time. And with a kid on the way probably not going to be done very soon.
