I need to make an appointment...a group of friends has been brewing for a couple years with about 80% success for some REALLY fantastic brews! We are looking to go for the Pepsi keg route as bottles are a raging pain in the ass.

I was at the Rock Springs Wal Mart and they actually had a kegerator there for 600$ back by the beverage isles...I was amazed!

So this thread has peaked my interest now. Are you guys saving money by making your own beer? Is it better, or is it just for the fun? I'm thinking about trying this, where should I start? Any books etc

You don't save money. It can be better and it can be fun. It is also a lot of work. There are plenty of books but the best thing to do would be to watch someone brew.

MMMMMMM tasty!!!! Oatmeal Stout is tasty.

Tried an Oatmeal Stout Sunday night after bottle conditioning for not quite a month........it was absolutely perfect!
