Ben Hanks

Anybody know how to get ahold of Ben Hanks? I purchased a small block 5.3 chev engine and tranny from him several months ago. He just told me to leave it there, and he would keep it til i was ready for it. Well, long story short, i ended up buying a new jeep and didn't use then engine. I had it for sale and what not, trying to sell it to recoup my funds. Well, a couple months ago, Ben went ahead and installed my engine into a customers vehicle, and i have yet to see any money from it. And I can't seem to get ahold of him. He has stopped answering my calls. So, anybody know how to get ahold of him? Or if he just posted here, that would be cool too.

Ben is a good guy, he's not trying to screw you... he has always been hard to get a hold of by phone. Stop by the shop in person.

yeah i don't know. i talked to him around thanksgiving. he said the customer was paying that week, and he would have my money. that was at the shop in person. since i have called several times, and yesterday and today i went by the shop to see if i could catch him. I got there at about 4:45 yesterday, and thought oh well maybe they closed up early. But today, I don't think there was an excuse. I stopped by at about 3:30. Doors all locked up. What gives? I would really like my money. It was afterall, a pretty substantial amount. Especially in lean times like we're in.

Hey just clear up things.. The guy never paid me so I'm pulling the motor out. I will have it ready on a picker on Friday, Also I'm not like Seth so Fuc* you!! This motor sat in my way for a year & 1/2 and I would give it back if he didn't pay so plan on Fri.. just bang on the shop door.

Just to let everyone know we did close our doors to retail in this sweet economy its just not worth it! we just focus on big jobs in the shop and so far it has been great.

I think Dan was just stirring the pot as per usual, but....

... calling someone "Seth" around here is about as bad as calling their wife a c**t: it might be true, and appropriate, but you'd better be damn sure, and willing to pay the piper.

I did get a chuckle out of it though, because it's so WRONG. Big difference between Mr. Hammond and Ben.
