Any local bender vendors? I am pretty set on the protools 105 bender so that would be my first choice. Wanted to see if I could find a local store to support before I get price quotes elsewhere.

If there are no vendors local, any others that would be recomended?

Not sure there are any local vendors... However, I am also interested in either the JD2M3 or the PT105... Mabey a group buy or combined shipping?

I bought my JD2, two dies, and a notcher and the shipping was about $100.00. That is one heavy shippment.

I worked out a deal with a guy tonight to trade work for tools :D I am stoked! If all works as expected I should have done enough work in 4-5 weeks to cover the bender. So I am a month out on this idea still. But I am all for taking lead on a group buy if we can get a deal on the benders or shipping, or whatever we can work out.

If you are interested in dropping $600 - $700 for a bender post up here so I can get a rough idea of what our negotiation power will really be. Also if there are dies you want or other pro-tools items that will help too, post up so I can get an idea.

Here is the link to the main 105 benders

At this point the only promise I make is to work on finding a good price for a potential group purchase.

Update -

My work for tools trade is just coming in a little slower than expected. But I am still onboard for this. If timing is critical for anyone let me know, I may be able to delay or advance this purchase if needed to accommodate others.

So far Keith has the best prices that I have found; also he was willing to give a discount off his website prices because of the group discount. Plus I have seen good feedback about his service. If I were to buy today it would defiantly be through him.

This is where i got my bender; it's from Medford tools. I searched and searched around the SLC Valley and couldn't find any vendors. Being from Oregon, i'm familiar with Medford. Their customer service is AWESOME! I don't know why i'm so surprised, but they are really really friendly on the phone.

Cost is reasonable, but it's manual. You can add a hydrolic for 1000$ ouch so i didn't get that. Shipping was very quick.
Dies are kind of spendy, but aren't they all?
I didn't buy the stand as an option but instead built my own. But after buying the steel I only saved 50% maybe.

All that said i haven't bent a single tube with it; been waiting to finish other things on my junker YJ. But i think this will work out great. Beats the Harbor Freight pipe bender any day i guess (that's the only thing i've personally ever used) so my experience is limited there.

Back to the top for this one. I am to the point now where I could place the order at any time. I am not 100% set on the dies and accessories I want, but I am looking into that more today. I don't want to rush anyone, but I want to set a date to make this happen so we can see it go through. So far the following have expressed interest:

chadschoon
kirk86CJ

I will send you all a PM with what I have seen for pricing so we can communicate this better

i may be interested. which bender is it and what are the prices?

I will be ordering the pro-tools bender through extremecrawlers.com who is also a vendor on pirate. He should be able to get anything that pro-tools sales, or you can check his website as well. I will send you a PM for the prices that he offered as a group discount, I just did not think it was fair to him to publish the group prices since this is not something he normally does.

A PM will be comming to you soon. I have not gathered orders yet, or heard what anyone else wants for sure. But for me it will be the 105HD with a 1.75" die. And either a second 1.5" die or a notcher. We will see what happens. Also I am going to not get the stand and make my own stand.
