Best Abandoned Ghost Towns

Death Valley, CA has a few good ones but the best for early 1900's is Bodie, CA because most of the stuff is still there.

Yes, Bodie is terrific. Also the whole San Juan Mountains area of SW Colorado is amazing especially the Red Mountain area both north and south of Red Mountain Pass plus other area ghost towns such as Animas Forks and Carson.

Some Bodie sites. Do not view the trip in from the North, very boring. Take the trip in or out from the south it is all gravel and a couple of interesting spots.

Bodie is by far the most fascinating and amazing ghost town my family and I ever visited outside of the Chaco Canyon ruins in New Mexico. If only the old buildings and mines could talk. Thanks for the sites.
