Verizon has, by far, the best service in out-of-the-way places. AT&T comes in a somewhat distant second.

FWIW I have been on AT&T for years and am happy with the service they provide. Plus, when I'm out in the middle-of-nowhere I typically don't want to have a cell phone going off. But I also take a 50 watt mobile HAM radio with me...

X20 Verizon. I had AT&T and they were good but the coverage didn't match Verizon.

I have AT&T and if it was life and death and it came down to my CB radio or AT&T I'd choose the CB

Edit; That said I should mention I have a spectacular discount through AT&T and that's the reason I'm with them...
