I need to put an anti wrap bar on my Jeep badly....as I have already eaten one driveshaft...

What is the best design? So far I have seen Shawns(however I can't remember what it looked like and how it worked?) and I have seen Spencurais.
Spencurais bar is the Spidertrax setup. It uses one bar that mounts to the bottom of the axle tube and connects to a crossmember rigidly (no shackle) up by the T-case.

I am curious if this is the best design or is it better to use a shackle up at the crossmember? single bar or dual?

depending on how much torqe you are dealing with, a single bar setup seems to be the best all around solution, if setup properly, it can even keep the pinion angle corrected for any position the axle is in, though that would take some precision measuring and positioning...

IMO, if you make sure your mounts and components are strong enough, you should be just fine.

the true ladder bar design has problems with binding. the single link setup has no problems with binding.

the ladder bar setup can alleviate binding through the use of a well designed shackle.

I run this setup. Works flawless so far. Easy to build and implement, and if setup with the right shackle it won't bind any. :)

I run close to what they show. I have a single bar from the top of the axle to a heimed, shackled, mount at the frame. I have bushings in the bars on the axle side. I got two bars and triangulated them to the upper bar from the bottom of the axle. I run a buggie and its fine for me.

So how did you determine the "right" shackle?

I dont know a lot about anti-wrap bars but what about using a shackle like they use for the 1/4 elip setup...so it pivots both side to side and front to back???
