I've been pretty happy with our comcast connection. We are paying for and receiving the highest speed they offer. There's been a few outages that I can think of in the past 6 months but nothing that lasted longer than about 30 min.

I guess it can be hit or miss with them.

That's definitely the problem with Qwest. They charge you for more then they give you and give you the excuse of "overhead" is why you aren't getting your speeds you are paying for. Also qwest is more expensive and slower (for what you pay) then any other service.

As opposed to Comcast banning you for using what they sold you

I have had very few connection problems, just problems with the parts that involve their employees.

I have had comcast for years now, and I am ok with them. For the price and the speed there is not a better option in my opinion. I can think of about 2 times in the past 12 months that my internet was down, maybe 4 times in the past 3 years that it has been down. Each of them were late at night, after midnight, and back on within a few hours. That is not bad in my opinion. Over the years my speed has not been as fast as advertized, but I just checked and I got 11 MB down and 8 MB up.
