I've always enjoyed Fins & Things. Took my son out there last fall. He was about 7 months at the time. He slept the whole ride.

Pretty much any trail. My boys have seen most the well-known Moab trails from their carseat. Fins n Things is nice. I'd add Moab Rim, Poison Spider, Hell's Revenge, Pritchett, Metal Masher. The other thing is it depends on how old they are. If old enough for a short hike, Klondike Bluffs is fun.

These guys are both right on. We have been taking our kids wheeling since they were very young. One thing we always do is make sure we stop alot and let them get out and play. Anywhere with sand will do with mine.:D If you want to do something more challenging, get them out. We actually do better on short extreme trails than on long easy ones. Then they are out playing more and can walk (or be carried) up the obstacles.

my kids wear bike helmets so thier heads don't hit together and they are free from the rollcage. Hell's revenge is good and Metal Masher is great for them.

My son has been wheelin' since he was about 6 weeks old. His first Moab trip was the U4WDA trail ride last year. With that said, he's been on Golden Spike, Rusty Nail, Pritchett, Behind the Rocks, Green Day (the hard way), Minor Threat, Strike Ravine, Fins and Things, Metal Masher, Cliffhanger, etc...etc...

When they are young, you have to take care of their necks, as they are easy to get whiplash. So I just take it easy and drive slow. If I'm doing something that is going to have his head bouncign around, I hold it in place. If I'm goign to do something that might take me off my wheels, he gets out to play.

I had three car seats belted in the back of the Cherokee and I let the wife drive with Kenny's wife riding shotgun. Spencurai, Kenny and I were on the quads. Hell's Revenge was a great ride and the kids loved it. Great weather and a picnic in February! ;)

Any trail that you feel comfortable driving! Our kiddos have been on more trails than most of the people we wheel with, they've been in rollovers, and still think rockcrawling is the best thing ever! I think the trick is to be on something you're comfortable with and like Yellowbronco said, stop a lot and make it fun for them as well.

I've heard the pediatricians don't recommend taking any kid under 2, as their heads are too big for their neck muscles and can be hurt easily. So we haven't taken our boy on anything yet and will wait until he's two (he turns 1 tomorrow!). After that, the helmet will come out and he'll ride wherever, but I seriously doubt his mother will let him ride the hard stuff until he's a couple years older.

Sounds like not a problem with your kids, but would second the warning about whiplash and neck injuries. We can bounce around pretty well and come out fine, not always so for a baby or toddler.

I like the bike helmet idea. With three kids in the back of the MS they bang heads once in a while...may try that next time.
