Best top fast back

Anyone running the best top nx fastback style top without the roll bar pads? How is the fit? Is it loose. I took the pads off a while ago for the more utilitarian look. I have had a few issues with my current top and I think it's mainly do to not having the pads. Looking at getting the new top soon

I haven't had the NX Fastback but I've gotten excellent service out of my BestTop SuperTop.
